Live bait is available most of the time for private boats. If you bring your own boat to Mexico, a Mexican boat permit is required. A fishing permit is required of everyone on board. These can be obtained from many San Diego tackle shops and tourist offices for $15. Request a copy of Mexican regulations as well. NOTE: Permits for boats 30' and over must be obtained from the Mexican Dept. of Fisheries, 2450 5th Ave. Suite 101, San Diego Ca. 92103; 916-233-4324.

On the way to the Bufadora look for the half day fishing excursions. They take you on a boat and you fish off the Punta Banda Peninsula. I understand that it's a fun day of fishing and fun for the whole family!
