Live bait is available most of the time for private boats. If you bring your own boat to Mexico, a Mexican boat permit is required. A fishing permit is required of everyone on board. These can be obtained from many San Diego tackle shops and tourist offices for $15. Request a copy of Mexican regulations as well.
